My Word
I am an artist.
For years I painted for you.
But you didn't like my truth.
I was not allowed to say my Word.
I am a storyteller.
I told stories for you and your children.
But soon you didn't like my truth.
I was not allowed to say my Word.
I am a poet.
I wrote of lovers and the times.
But you didn't like my truth.
I was not allowed to say my Word.
I am the Christ.
I told you what was to come through my paintings, stories and poems.
But you didn't like my truth.
So, I hung on a cross to get you to listen.
